New Website Look
We have given the k-Space website a facelift to make it easier for both our thin film metrology and industrial metrology customers to find the information that they need. The web address is still the same, and the updated site still has the same thin-film product information, application notes, videos, and citations of papers from peer-reviewed journals that describe research in which k‑Space tools are used. In addition, we have added a new Industrial Metrology section, as k-Space has developed expertise in production-oriented custom metrology solutions over the past several years. NIST 800-171 Certification Achieved
We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed implementation of security measures and procedures to become NIST 800-171 compliant. This is the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-171, which regulates Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in Non-federal Information Systems and Organizations. Many of our current military and government laboratory customers will require their suppliers to have this certification in the near future, so k‑Space proactively sought it out to enable us to continue to provide these customers with k‑Space instruments and service, without interruption.
To earn this certification, we implemented stringent processes that minimize our vulnerability to network and data security breaches. These processes, in turn, minimize the risk for our customers from these same vulnerabilities. A win-win for k‑Space and our customers!
Remote Installations Are Now Available
This unprecedented time period has required all companies to innovate and adapt their business practices. In order to keep our customers progressing in their research and production needs, k-Space now offers remote installations for many of our metrology tools. This consists of a combination of pre-recorded installation overview videos (system alignment, theory of operation, etc.) and video meetings that include live application validation. We have already successfully performed a number of these remote installations, and we see these installations as a tool that will help our customers better understand their systems.
