Growing America’s Semiconductor Workforce
k-Space is proud to announce that we have been awarded a Michigan Works! competitive grant to help the State with its mission to enhance the STEM skills of its residents. With this grant, k-Space will deliver both on-the-job and classroom training for its employees, to help advance their careers and skillsets.
In related semiconductor news, officials from Washtenaw Community College (WCC) recently toured k-Space, looking for ways to enhance their new Semiconductor Technician certification program. k-Space is happy to support this effort. In addition, we also agreed to explore internship opportunities with the college.
Answering Your Questions and Testing Your Samples
Got a pressing measurement challenge? Questions about your configuration, viewport, temperature issues, chamber access, or maybe something else? Contact our sales engineering team. They are always happy to provide guidance.
You can also send us your samples for testing. In our lab, we can perform analyses on different wafers or film stacks, examine growth issues, and much more. We then provide you with a full report. For glass and solar panel manufacturers, we provide similar services in our industrial metrology lab.
k-Space Inside
It’s been a busy year for the Sales team. And the pace isn’t slowing down. Next month, k-Space will be exhibiting at NAMBE 2024, at Tufts University in Boston. Be sure to stop by! See our metrology tools in action. Remember, we make it a point to always provide a hands-on demo of our metrology products wherever we exhibit at. See them, touch them, test them.

kSA = Software + Hardware
FUN FACT: Our software development team makes up over 15% of k-Space staff, and this number is growing! We know that our software analysis and reporting tools help you create better products, improve processes, and enhance your research.
Another important fact. Only k-Space has its scientists, engineers, software team, production teams, and support staff all co-located together. No functions are outsourced. This collaboration enhances new product design, ensures the best quality products, and makes for better customer service and technical support.
Another Cool BandiT Feature
It’s true. You can view all your BandiT data in real-time inside Riber’s Crystal XE or Veeco’s Molly MBE control software. This includes your wafer temperature measurements and other process variables.
We think this is such a useful feature that k-Space will even add a second Ethernet card to your new kSA BandiT unit if you request it.
8″ RHEED Screen Viewports
Recently, most zero profile viewport manufacturers decided to make a design change to the inner dimensions of the standard 8” viewport, making it impossible to mount a RHEED screen inside the viewport. This likely happened because most of these vacuum component manufacturers aren’t concerned with mounting a RHEED screen inside their viewport – this is not a large market for them.
But no worries. k-Space can supply the tried and true 8” viewport that will still accept the accompanying RHEED screen! Contact us for details.
